Setting goals, action plans, priorities, and phases

Create a plan

Now that you know what your needs are it is time to create a plan. While it would be nice to go out and purchase all the latest machinery and software to create an integrated facility, it simply is not that practical as this would require very deep pockets and a willingness to jump right in. The road to a complete integrated facility cannot be traveled overnight. In fact, only the most progressive thinking companies will take this journey.

When establishing a plan, consider those items that provide the fastest return on investment.  It is this ROI that can provide the capital to allow you to continue your journey to complete integration.  Complete integration can be likened to building a house.  A strong foundation is needed to build something that will stand the test of time.  While building a completely integrated facility, the foundation is the software platform upon which the business is built and this is the very tool that will provide a solid return on investment.
